Priest: Rev Rachel McDougall

Rev. Rachel McDougall (Vicar at St Paul’s Canterbury September 2018 – ongoing)

Rachel was a music teacher in Tasmania following the completion of a music degree, before moving to Melbourne to study to become a priest.  She was ordained Deacon in 1994 and priested in 1995 in Hobart, Tasmania.  Rachel has ministered in a variety of parish settings.  She served as a Locum whilst recovering from a major car accident and then ministered at Banyule Parish, was an Associate Priest at holy Trinity Pascoe Vale/Oak Park before becoming Precentor at St Paul’s Cathedral for five years.  Most recently she has been the Vicar at St John’s Bentleigh.  Rachel enjoys playing viola and piano as well as singing.  Rachel is married to Revd Dr Ross Fishburn who is the Academic Dean at Yarra Theological Union.  They have two ministry cats named Sam and Eleanor.  Rachel is delighted to come to St Paul’s and be part of a warm, vibrant community which such a strong music tradition.


Locum Priest April- September 2018: Rev Wendy Pullin


Wendy Pullin

Formerly a teacher, Wendy Pullin was ordained priest in the Diocese of Bendigo in 1998. Since then she has enjoyed a variety of ministry experience in rural and city communities.

In the Diocese of Melbourne she has been Associate Priest and Vicar. More recently, in the Diocese Adelaide, she enjoyed a Chaplaincy with Anglicare and the experience of being part of a ministry team in a large Adelaide Hills Parish.  She returned to Melbourne following the death of her husband, the Rev’d Christopher Pullin. Wendy enjoys living close to some of her children and grandchildren in Melbourne where she is a becoming a committed walker. She loves a challenge and is looking forward to walking the 790km Camino de Santiago in Spain.

Dylan Quinlan-Baskett



Director of Music, Choir Leader and Organist -Dylan Quinlan-Basket 

Dylan loves Anglican liturgy and loves our organ! We are excited to have him on our team. Dylan is completing a Bachelor of Music at the Melbourne Conservatorium of Music specialising in organ. He has an interest in early music (medieval, renaissance and baroque) and plays the viola da gamba, vielle, recorder and harpsichord. Dylan loves mending antique clocks and has worn odd socks since primary school.

Rowan exercises a ministry of pastoral care within the life of the St Paul’s Anglican Church Canterbury parish.

Cassandra Hurley – Parish Office and Sunday School Coordinator 

A practising, local Anglican, Cassandra is in the process of qualifying as a solicitor, having completed her Bachelor of Laws (Honours) and Bachelor of Commerce (Economics) at Monash University. Cassandra loves working at St Paul’s and has been doing so since mid 2016.
